Growing up comes with a lot to figure out.
Teen & Young Adult Therapy
In-person therapy in Katy, TX & online throughout Texas
There's a lot to navigate when you're figuring out who you are.
The teenage years and early adulthood bring a lot of changes. Between school, friendships, relationships, family expectations, and decisions about the future, it can feel like there's always something you're supposed to be figuring out.
Maybe you're feeling anxious about what comes next, struggling with confidence, or finding it difficult to manage everything that's expected of you. You might feel pressure to make the right decisions, fit in, or have a clear plan for your future, even when you're still learning what matters to you.
For parents, it can be difficult to watch your teen struggle and not always know how to help. You want to support them while also giving them the space to become more independent.
Therapy provides a place to talk openly, make sense of what you're experiencing, and develop the confidence and skills to navigate life's changes.
You don’t have to have your future figured out to start finding your way.
Growing up involves learning about yourself, navigating relationships, making mistakes, and discovering what matters to you. That process doesn't always feel straightforward.
In therapy, we'll explore the challenges you're facing, better understand your thoughts and emotions, and work on practical ways to manage stress, communicate your needs, and approach difficult situations.
My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable being yourself, asking questions, and talking about what's really going on without worrying about having the right answers.

Common questions about counseling for teens & young adults
-
Teens experience plenty of emotional ups and downs, but sometimes additional support can be helpful. You might notice increased anxiety, changes in mood, withdrawal from friends or family, difficulty managing school stress, or challenges with confidence and relationships.
Therapy can provide a supportive space for your teen to better understand their experiences and develop skills for navigating challenges.
-
Parent involvement depends on your teen's age, individual needs, and the circumstances bringing them to therapy.
I believe it's important for teens to have a space where they feel comfortable speaking openly while also maintaining appropriate communication with parents. We'll discuss confidentiality, its limits, and how parent involvement will work as part of the therapy process.

Young adulthood often involves major transitions, from starting college or entering the workforce to navigating relationships, independence, and decisions about the future.
I work with young adults experiencing anxiety, stress, perfectionism, self-esteem concerns, relationship difficulties, and the uncertainty that can come with figuring out their next steps.
