You spend so much time showing up for everyone else. What about you?

Maybe you're used to being the person everyone can count on. You manage the responsibilities, keep things moving, and do your best to hold it all together. Between the demands of work, relationships, and family life, it can feel like there's always something, or someone, that needs your attention.

Whether you're navigating a difficult season, feeling the weight of expectations, or realizing something needs to change, you deserve a place where you don't have to carry everything on your own.

Together, we'll make sense of what's been weighing on you, better understand what's contributing to how you're feeling, and find meaningful ways to move forward. Therapy gives you the opportunity to slow down, gain a new perspective, and make changes that feel right for you.

I’m Kayla, and I believe therapy should be a place where you feel genuinely heard and understood, but also a place where meaningful change can happen.

Kayla Brinkley, M.Ed., LPC

My approach is warm, conversational, and collaborative. I value building a genuine connection with my clients while also being intentional about the work we do together. Drawing from evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and EMDR, I tailor our sessions to your individual needs, experiences, and goals.

I don't believe therapy should feel like another place where you have to perform, meet expectations, or have all the right answers. My goal is to create an environment where you can show up as you are, gain a deeper understanding of yourself, and develop practical tools that make a difference beyond our sessions.

Stress & Burnout

You're used to keeping everything moving and finding a way to make it all work. But juggling responsibilities and expectations can leave you feeling exhausted, overwhelmed, or like there's never enough time for yourself. Therapy can help you manage that pressure, set healthier boundaries, and find more balance in your life.

Parenthood & Boundaries

Becoming a parent can bring unexpected changes to your relationships, priorities, and sense of self. Between caring for others and managing everyone's expectations, it can be hard to find space for your own needs. Therapy offers a place to work through those changes, set healthier boundaries, and reconnect with yourself.

Teen & Young Adult Therapy

Growing up and finding your way can come with a lot of pressure to know who you are and what comes next. Whether you're navigating relationships, school or career decisions, family expectations, or the uncertainty of a new chapter, therapy can help you better understand yourself and move forward with greater confidence.

Difficult experiences can continue to affect how we think, feel, and respond to the world around us, even long after they've happened.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based therapy that can help people process distressing experiences and reduce the impact those memories have on their everyday lives.

Whether you're working through a specific experience or beginning to recognize how the past may be affecting you today, we'll approach the process with care, intention, and at a pace that feels right for you.

Sometimes, the past still feels present.

STEP 1 - Let’s Connect

Schedule a free 15-minute consultation call. We'll talk briefly about what you're looking for, answer any questions you have, and see if working together feels like a good fit.

STEP 2 - Your First Session

We'll meet in person or online and take time to explore what brings you in, what you've been experiencing, and what you'd like to work toward. There's no pressure to share everything at once.

STEP 3 - Moving Forward Together

We'll build on that foundation, working at a pace that feels right for you. Through thoughtful conversations, greater self-understanding, and practical strategies, we'll focus on creating meaningful changes in your everyday life.

Getting started doesn't have to be complicated.

You deserve space for yourself, too.

You don't have to wait until things feel overwhelming to ask for support. Making time for yourself isn't always easy, especially when you're used to putting everyone else's needs first. Whether you're ready to make a change or simply curious about what therapy could look like, I'd love to connect.
